Lots and Lots of Snow

On Saturday we had a major snowstorm that dumped more than a foot of snow around our yard. Because I love fresh snow, I was very excited about this! I am also very thankful that we have a snowblower. Even with the snowblower it took my husband several hours to get our sidewalk and driveway cleared out.

Here are some pictures of Sarah and Mr. Sneaky Pants playing outside this afternoon. Sarah got home from school and dropped off her backpack inside the door and went right out to play. Mr. Sneaky Pants decided to join what he coined his “crazy sister” so I bundled him up and deposited him outside the door as well. It’s a little hard for him to walk out there. I donned my cozy blue coat and snowboots and stepped out with my camera to take the recycling out and snap a couple of pictures. They were sliding down a little snowbank and trying to throw snow at each other. Because I knew that throwing snow at each other would result in a lot of screaming and whining, and I didn’t want to have to unbundle people quite yet, I said, “No throwing snowballs at each other!”

They both looked at me for a second and picked up large snow clumps and headed straight for ME! They thought it was SOOOOO funny to chase me around the yard and smash snow into my coat from all directions.
