The Dead and Maybe Frozen Caterpillar
I love that my kids don’t mind being cold. We dug out a winter hat, and out Ms. Crazy Preschooler went while the little ones napped yesterday. She roamed about the yard and tromped in extremely excited because she found this slightly (OK, quite) dead caterpillar, drowned, bloated and maybe a touch frozen in the plastic wading pool that blew over in the wind behind the shed outside. It got the royal treatment: a photography shoot, and a temporary cushy home in her bug house from Easter. She evicted the dead boxelder bug to make room for the dead caterpillar.
