Sunday Night at the Beach: The Monday Edition

The first Sunday after arriving back from North Dakota we were unable to make it to the beach.  The next day was a warm, calm and relaxing day, perfect for beach going.  We decided to do Sunday night at the beach on Monday.  We even loaded up my kayak.  As we were driving down the hill the sun disappeared behind a thick fog, and the temperature dropped 45 degrees.  I still went for a kayak ride, hugging the shore in the cool mist so as not to get lost at sea in the pea soup fog.

I love the fog, and I like kayaking very close to the shore to examine all the interesting rocks and teensy caves anyway.  The fog makes discovering new nooks and crannies all the more mysterious.

While I was kayaking The Banana looked for treasure, YaYa went climbing around on the rocks, and Mr. TOF threw stones in the water.  Mr. SP was off to camp.

Here is some unfinished sea glass.  The Banana and I love sea glass.  Most of these pieces needed a bit more time in the waves to become more velvety.  Still, it’s always fun to look for sea glass.
